Drones are relatively new technology, only a handful of experienced and licensed providers are able to utilise this technology to carry out surveys. The use of a remotely controlled drone means we can provide our clients with photos and video footage of their roof that would otherwise be difficult to inspect. Photos will be included in the report if any snags are observed.
Using a thermal camera we identify heat or energy loss in new build properties by detecting thermal bridging, damp and missing insulation. We can also detect and find flat roof leaks, trapped moisture under water proofing, damaged or missing insulation and hidden defects. This method is used in the detection of inaccessible ingress or water leaks due to its non-destructive capabilities. It enables leaks to be repaired by limiting the works to the identified area. The final report will include thermal and digital images where we will highlight our findings.
With the use of a smoke pencil extractor fans, gas fires and wood burner flues can be tested to ensure they are in full working order. Testing for draughts around the property will also be undertaken.
We use a socket tester which is a handheld electrical device used to quickly assess whether wall sockets are properly wired and working safely. They are plugged directly into a mains socket or via an attached plug connected by a lead.
